What a name for a blog! I wanted to share (mainly for my mom) the gifts that I sewed for some of my friends. Like I said in a
previous post that I have been learning to sew. I know - I am a dork!! During the summer I mastered shorts for Jackson and cute little pillow case dresses for some of little girls in my life. There is not too much out there that I would sew and actually let Jackson wear, so I have learned how to make pin cushions, pot holders, and purses.
Here are four of the pin cushions I gave to some of my sewing friends. Yes, there really is a group of us!

Here is a pin cushion up close and personal.

And at last, the potholders - very exciting, huh!?!?!? You can't really see but at the top there is a grommet so you can even hang them up!

Where are the purses, you ask?? You will have to wait until after Christmas to see those. They might just be getting wrapped to be given as presents. . . . .

How very clever of you, through the use of stylish fabric and accessories, to be able to marry couture and dorkdom. :) Actually, that comment is just unsuccessfully disguised jealousy... I know you know that. They really are beautiful. I only wish I could use one. You do realize that you are on your way to mother of the year??
They are so pretty and I have hung my potholders up in my kitchen! I love them!
Stacy, I love the little pincushions. They turned out so cute. The potholders are still special as we made some together. I sure like the purses...Hint...Hint... Can't wait to see you all. Merry Christmas and give each other hugs from us. Love Mom and Dad
These are ADORABLE!!!!! I'm so impressed! What pattern did you use?
I am very impressed with your sewing.
