Getting Ready for Steak

Braden's front bottom two teeth have finally popped through! If you look closely you can see them shining!

Now That He is on the Move . . .

Braden has found several new fun things to do! Despite how many times he has been redirected and told no, pulling down all the magazines is still his favorite activity. He can be in the kitchen playing, and he will eventually make his way to the living room to do a little reading.


He also likes to help his brother play the PlayStation. I think Little Big Planet is his favorite game just like mom!

Crawl the Warrior King

Our lives as we know it are suddenly over . . . .

Braden is a crawler.

He has been practicing his skills all week. Sometimes he looks like an inch worm and sometimes it is full on crawling. He isn't fast, but I bet by next weekend he will have that perfected too!

And let me tell you he is into everything!!!! Jackson was pretty easy to distract - Braden not so much.

New Favorite Toy

Mrs. Jordan kept me the other day, and I can home home with a new toy. I am so spoiled!

Thank you Mrs. Jordan for my new favorite toy!!! Every time mom tries to pry it out of my hand I scream. You think she would learn faster . . . .

8 months

Oops, we accidentally skipped the 7 month picture and update!

Weight: about 17 pounds
Diapers: Size 3
Sleep: Finally sleeping through the night! He still might wake up and fuss for a few minutes, but then it is right back to sleep. He goes down at 7:00 and is usually up around 6:30.
Food: Pureed everything. He has even eaten a couple of Gerber Puffs which is extremely fun to watch!
Fun Facts: Braden graduated from his helmet and no longer has to wear it! They did recommend another helmet since he outgrew his. But since we were pleased with the results from the first one we decided to pass.

- Just yesterday the first tooth finally broke through. It has been a rough couple of weeks. He likes to chew on everything, and I mean everything!

-He is also sitting up on his own. He still falls over occasionally when he gets focused on something else, but for the most part he has got it down perfectly.

- We introduced the sippy cup, and he loves drinking water from it. He also loves to chew on it and get water all down the front of his shirt. Like I said, he chews on everything!


- He is super close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, but doesn't quite go anywhere. (I have to confess that I am not really encouraging this behavior. He is already into everything, so does he really need to crawl too?)


- I can't believe Mark and I have been "blessed" with two talkers! Oh my - I'm not sure who talks more. Braden is now babbling and can say "da da da da" and "ma ma ma ma." But I will admit that I am not sure he knows what he is saying. However, when he woke up from his nap the other day I heard him saying, "ma ma ma ma ma." Surely he was calling for me to come get him, right? We are now trying to get him to say "ja ja ja ja" for Jackson.

- He is definitely a momma's boy at this time. I know he will soon prefer his daddy, so I am going to soak it up while it lasts.

- The little guy is still adored by his big brother. Jackson is constantly kissing and playing with him saying, "Mom, I just can't help it! He is just a cutie baby! Isn't he just adorable?" Let's just hope it continues when Braden becomes mobile and gets into all of Jackson's stuff!
