Little Man Turns Four

How did that happen . . . my baby is 4! He has grown so much in the last year, and I am so proud of my sweet little boy!

We kicked off the week celebrating Mark's birthday, continued with Jackson's big day, and finished it up with his birthday party. It was sugar filled busy week, and we had a blast! All week Jackson kept referring to himself as the "birthsday" boy. So here he is in all his 4 year old glory.

After waiting all day to open his presents, he finally got to dive in and tear them open. Of course the "birthsday" boy was spoiled and had a lot to open. (Thank you Dee Dee, PaPa, Emmy, and Poppy)

Jackson helped me make special "4 year old" cupcakes, and even picked out all the candles. And in true Jackson fashion, he licked only the icing.

On Saturday Jackson had a swimming party with his friend Ella. The kiddos first played in the gym with all kinds of fun activities and games.

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy . . . .

You can look all you want, but you won't find Jackson on the parachute. He is off playing basketball with his daddy. Whatever the group activity is you can guarantee Jackson will not be doing it!

His first "roller coaster" ride. Hopefully he will love them just as much as his mommy and daddy.

My friend Sunny and I decided to have a beach theme to embrace the 100 degree weather.

Since we were going swimming after pizza and cake, we wanted each kiddo to have something to play with in the pool. We gave them sand buckets, watering cans, and Nemo gummy fish as a party favor.

Sunny is a cake decorating pro, and I couldn't wait to see her in action. I "helped" by watching her work her magic and giving her words of encouragement. The beach cake is complete with sea shells, sandcastles, flip flops, umbrellas, and beach towels. It was quite yummy too!

Here are the birthday kids themselves right before they blow out their candles. Jackson and Ella Beanie . . .

We then all headed to the pool to cool off, but I didn't snap even one picture. Just imagine a bunch of cute kids in adorable little bathing suits splashing around and having a great time.

3 has been great, and I can't to see what 4 has to offer. We love you little Toot Too!

I didn't realize that Sonny made the beach cake. I thought a professional did it! I enjoyed decorating cakes years ago and appreciate how much work goes into that, so tell Sonyy I am impressed! Love, Emmy

We can't believe that our sweet little boy is now "4". He is just growing into a young man way to fast for DeeDee. It looks and sounds like he had a wonderful week, counting down on his fingers and enjoying the whole special celebration. Happy Birthday, Jackson. Love you, PaPa and DeeDee
