**I completely forgot to post this blog entry. Better late than never.**
We finally finished up our Spring yard work. How can such a small yard take up so much time? We filled in two flower beds in the back yard and planted grass seed. It is finally growing, and it looks great! Jackson, Dee Dee, and I also planted all of our annuals. I haven't had a chance to take pictures of all my flowers, but I will soon - my rose bush is beautiful this year, and all my hostas from last year are better than ever!
While we were at Lowe's, Jackson decided that he wanted to pick out his own flower and pot. He picked out an orange (his favorite color) gerber daisy and a brown pot. As soon as we got home, he got to work.
First he had to carefully fill his pot with potting soil.

After adding the flowers, he needed to add more potting soil.

Next up - watering! He had to go back several times with that tiny watering can. Dee Dee also taught him to talk to each flower after planting it, "There you go little flower. I hope you grow big. I love you." And you know what? Every flower he helped plant, watered, and talked to is just a growing!

He is so happy with his favorite orange flower. Maybe if we start working on his green thumb at an early age, it will actually stay green - unlike his momma.

I am so glad he loves plants like I do! My mother had the best green thumb ever. I still have 2 plants she gave me and they lasted even through this cold winter. SO, I hope Jackson continues to love plants! Love, Emmy
Helping with the flowers was so much fun. I still smile when I remember Jackson whispering to each and every plant he helped plant. I can't believe how very patient and helpful he was while we were at Lowe's. Thank you for letting me share the fun. Love, DeeDee
