Library and Friends

Jackson absolutely loves going to the "libaby." The librarian in the children's section puts on an amazing story time that we usually attend, but it is usually a little hectic trying to pick out books also. So we try to go back later in the week to check out some books. This entire process is so much fun for Jackson. (YIPPPEEE - I am so glad that I have a child that loves books as much as I do, at least for now anyway!) We start off by putting each book into the drop off one by one, and then we head off to the rows and rows of books waiting for us. There are several books that are on our check out rotation - School Bus, Trucks, Trucks, Trucks, Trains: Huffing, Puffing, Pulling, and Dinosaur Dinosaur - just to name a few. Once we have found a couple of books, we head to the table, sit down, and read. However, he doesn't want me to read it to him. He gives me a book to read, and then he reads his own book. The reading it to him comes later at home! Finally we pack up all the books to go check them out. While I check them out, he just has to go up the stairs at least once. He is so excited about all his new books and can't wait to show daddy when we get home. That night our bedtime routine usually takes forever - we have to read ALL of the new books!

Lately, it seems like Jackson has been hanging out with the girls. It seems like all of our guy buddies have been busy or sick lately. He has turned in to quite the gentleman, and it makes my heart full! We were playing at the park the other day, and Jackson was so worried about his buddies Ella and Lilly trying to make it up the hill. So he went back down the hill and held their hands as they climbed up together. It was such a sweet thing to do, and it brought a tear to my eye.

I love the pictures of our little "Prince Charming" helping the ladies. Such a gentleman! I am also thrilled that he loves books, reading, and the library so much. Congratulations Mommy and Daddy for opening that magical world for him. Give him hugs from DeeDee

Jackson helping Lilly looks like a mini Mark from the back, only I don't remember him being so helpful to girls!
