More Sewing Projects

While my mom was here I decided to try to some new sewing patterns. (Yes, I know I am still a dork who really likes to sew.) I always like her to be here when I try something new, so if need be she can clean up my sewing mess. I usually sew at night or during naptime, but every so often I sew like this:

He is just so much help! Needless to say, he likes it when his Dee Dee is here so she can entertain him. (And yes we have three buses.)

Here is a skirt I made for my friend's daughter's second birthday. I hope she likes it!!

I meant to take pictures of the purses I made for Christmas, but I never did. So instead you get to see my newest purse. The first one is for my SIL Becca and the second one is for me - same purse different fabric.

And to finish things off we made an apron. It wraps around and ties in the front. My mom left with this one, so I will be making another one soon!

While all the pictures don't show it, all the fabrics are so bright and vivid which I love. Looking back, I think I am going through a orange/brown/blue phase.

Great Job, Stacy. Love the first picture the best. HA!! He likes to help Mom on her "up and down". Your purse is so cute. You did a good job on the closing. Glad I was there to add moral support and very little else. Love, DeeDee

Stacy you are such a great seamstress!!!! Do you like your machine? I never got to see it before we moved. So exciting - you are so good!! I think I made that apron the other day too... did you use the tutorial at Stop Staring and Start Sewing? (That's a great blog!!)

SO fun. I am so impressed!!!! And I'm so impressed that Jackson is just playing while you sew... I can't even attempt to sew with Caroline in the room, she tries to push all the buttons and my stitches get all messed up!

The purse is amazing! I love the skirt. I cannot believe you made them. Btw, my pot-holders are hanging proudly in my kitchen and I refuse to use them in case they get dirty!
