Wooden Sculptures

Jackson loves the work/tool bench area in his class. In the three days he was at school this week, he made two different sculptures.

He started the blue airplane one day and finished it the next. He was so excited about it that he brought it home even though the paint wasn't quite dry. Now when I look at my passenger front seat, I will always remember that blue airplane.

The next day he made the cross. It was my special co-op day, so we worked on it together. We used a c-clamp to hold the wood together, and then I held it still while he hammered away. However, I think we will be painting this one at home.

I can't wait to see what next week brings.

What a sensitive way to say, "There is now blue paint all over my seat that I can't get out....ever." I miss you.

What a wonderful imagination and handyman skills... both sculptures are fab. Great job, Jackson. Glad you are enjoying school and new teachers. Have a fun year, and we look forward to more sculptures. Now about that blue paint, one day you will look at it with awe and pride. HA!!! Love you all, PaPa and DeeDee
