Brother Airplanes

We made a trip to Michael's the other day and came home with an airplane kit. I don't think Jackson has ever been so excited about a craft in all of his 2 1/2 years. We went straight home to "make" our first of four airplanes. After punching out the plane parts and assembling the flimsy - I mean sturdy and well made - plane, we got to decorate it with stickers. Every square inch of those planes got stickers!

Jackson was a very serious plane engineer!

Wait, I think this one needs just one more sticker.

Here are two of the planes. Jackson kept calling them brother airplanes. This of course lead to a conversation that went something like this:
Jackson - "Look momma, they are brothers!"
Momma - "Yep, they are brothers. Would you like a brother or sister?
Jackson - "No thanks!"
End of conversation. And before anyone asks there are NO brothers or sisters on the way!!!!

He is soooo proud and can't wait to show his daddy.

Finally, it was time to let 'em fly. After Jackson repeatedly threw them like a baseball straight into the ground and getting countless lessons on how to "glide" them through the air, he jsut gave up and flew them like this:

He did finally get the idea of how to fly the airplanes, but they have definitely seen better days. We have already had to repair one. But all in all, it was five bucks well spent!

Looks like Jackson did a great job on the airplanes! Too bad he doesn't want a brother or sister!

PaPa and I love the airplanes and all the neat stickers, Jackson. PaPa wants to know which one is DeeDee's plane? I guess we won't mention the brother or sister issue. HA!! Love you all, DeeDee
