The Edith Twirl Skirt

Of course my mom and I squeezed some sewing into our "spare" time. We didn't sew as much as I had wanted due to the entire Johnson family being sick and the long "to do" list that I had made while my mom was in town. How is it that she stayed a week and we still were rushed for time?? Oh well, I know she will be back.

I did manage to make this skirt for my friend Dana's little girl who turns three in May. It is called the Edith Twirl skirt, and I think it is sooo cute. It definitely has that "twirl" factor that little girls love!

Here are two burp cloths I made for one of Mark's co-workers for her baby shower.

My next projects:
- a couple of summer skirts for myself
- more burp cloths for all the babies in my life
- a crayon roll for Jackson
- learning to applique

Hopefully I will get them done sooner rather than later.

Unless you are going to start selling these cute items...quit posting about them. I can see Ella wearing it now!

Oh my gosh, those burp cloths are SOOO cute!! Where are you getting all the cute fabric? In all that "spare time," send me instructions on how to make the burp cloths - what a GREAT shower gift! The skirt is super cute too! I'm very impressed! My sewing machine has been sitting in my car for a month waiting to go to the doctor... :)

Love the skirt and burp cloths as you already know, Stacy; especially since I plan on giving them as gifts also. Proud of all of your beautiful sewing. Love you, Mom
