The Mighty Thunder

We have been spending a lot of time on the baseball field this spring.  And no matter how nervous it makes Mark and me, it is so much fun to watch Jackson play.  He has become obsessed with everything baseball!

We lucked out and got Coach Nate again who was Jackson's coach last fall.  He is a great coach who has the perfect combination of teaching, seriousness, encouragement, and fun.   Braden loves Coach Nate also, which makes him somewhat of a celebrity in our house.

Jackson is one of the youngest on the team, but he is doing great.  It seems like each game things come together more and more.

He has improved in his batting skills with much work at practice and Sunday practices with Dad.  Even Derek has been known to help out a little.

During each game they play different positions to learn on the job, so to speak.  Today he even got to play catcher - which according to Braden is the "strike one man."  He loved it even though to see him in all that equipment nearly gave me a heart attack.

We have a couple of weeks left, and I am sure there will be more pictures to come.
