Happy Birthday to my sweet five year old. I can't believe my baby is five! I probably say that every year, but really where does the time go? This year, Jackson's birthday seemed to last a week. We were in Destin for his actual birthday, so we had a family birthday dinner before we left for the beach. We went to eat pizza and of course opened some presents.

And Mario Kart for his DS. If you ask him, he has wanted that for years. 
While we were at the beach, we had another party for him with his cousins and some other family friends. We ate McDonald's for lunch, munched on cupcakes for dessert, and opened another round of presents.
Unfortunately he blows out candles a lot like his mother . . . poor little guy.
Sometimes the wrapping can be the best part of a present.
Every year Emmy gives the grandkids a photo album. Jackson loves strolling down memory lane and looking at all of his books.
We love you Jackson Parks. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for letting me be your momma. You are such a sweet boy and an amazing big brother. You make us laugh and definitely keep us on our toes. I hope that you have a great year - you have been waiting and waiting to turn 5.

Jackson really is such a sweet and precious boy! It seems just yesterday he was born, and we were praying and had friends praying for him on our way home from Destin! God had him in his hands the whole time! We will keep praying for that, too. We can't wait to see you all again! Love, Emmy
