Jackson is full of surprises these days. His little imagination is starting to soar, and I love it! We were singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" yesterday at breakfast, and all of a sudden, he said, "Momma crocodile coming. He friend not scary." Ok sure, so we had a friendly crocodile join us for breakfast.
I was unloading the dishes while Jackson was "building tracks" downstairs. I came downstairs to find this:
Jackson was sooo proud of himself. He wanted the train to go in a tunnel, so he built it under the chair.
He also told me he wanted passengers, so he lined up his little people.
We also played Shake 'n Go cars. Now, if you don't have any of these and you have a small child, you should run (not walk) and go buy some. They are the coolest toys ever! You obviously shake them and they go. Here is Jackson demonstrating the shaking part:
We had a little scientific experiment to see how far each car would go and what makes them go farther. We discovered the more you shake it, the farther it goes. This is a HUGE discovery! I kept wondering why it would go a short distance some times and at other times go farther. Problem solved!

So I have learned my lesson - Just Play!!! All the laundry, cleaning, errands and on and on and on will be there tomorrow. I better play with my 2 year old before he grows into a 20 year old! And I promise I will love every minute of it!

I love the last picture! You have the right idea about playing with them when they are young. The time passes too quickly!

I love this post!!! Playing is SO much fun and sometimes the busyness of the days just seem to take all the fun away! And those cars are SOOOO cool. I might need to snag a few for some boys in my life!
What a wonderful imagination Jackson has!! I love the track going in the tunnel while the people watch. I agree that time goes much too quickly and children grow up much too fast. Glad you put play time and Jackson first. Love the last picture. Give him hugs. Love, DeeDee and PaPa
I need to be better at this. You inspired me to take Rush and Avery to Batesville today and playground hop (4 total) ending at the one at McDonalds! Boy, did they go down for naps well today! :) Miss you much and much!
Oh, about Spring... Ole Miss runs the Pro-I in football(don't ask), but Matt wants to go stay with your mom during our Spring Break (Ole Miss Spring Football) and meet with coaches. Haven't let your parents in on it yet (still up in the air). Any chance you jet setters can make it back down here sometime between March 21-29??
Love you!
