That's a wrap!

Well, I know that I have been absent from the blogging world for awhile, but I have a really good excuse. The past two weeks we have been moving into our new house while getting our floors refinished and taping House Hunters. Slowly but surely we are getting settled in and things are trying to get back to normal. I don't recommend doing all three of those things at the same time during a long weekend . . . Never a boring moment at the Johnson household.
_______

You would think that we would be pros at this moving thing. However, this was our first short distance move, and I think it was much harder than all the rest. Because we moved only five minutes away, we decided to move all the little stuff and leave the furniture for the hired movers. After much sorting and several trips to Goodwill, I thought we were ready. WRONG!! What I quickly came to realize is that we have way too much crap! It is amazing how much stuff we had accumulated over the past two years. Jackson didn't help either will all of the toys he has added to the Johnson house! Anyway - we are all moved in and settled. I just need to hang pictures on the walls, and then I will post pictures. Jackson did great with all the chaos of moving. He keeps saying, "New house mommy, new house." We had to go by the old house to drop off the keys, and he didn't even want to get out of the car. He absolutely loves his new back yard. We have played t-ball and putt putt. We have also had many backyard picnics.
_______

Yes, we will soon by tv stars (insert lots of laughing here). I will go ahead and post a disclaimer: Beware - the show is going to be extremely cheesy. I don't know who has actually watched HGTV's House Hunters, but here is a quick summary. It is a "reality based" show that follows a family through the process of buying a house. What you don't know while watching the show is that in order to tape the show you already have to have a contract on a house. So the other two houses are completey staged! I know, I know - it is so disappointing, isn't it? Anyway, we have taped three full days and have one more to go in a couple of months (they come back to show us all settled in to our new house). Keep in mind this is just a thirty minute show. It will be interesting to see what they do with all the footage and how it is pieced together. Who knows, it may all end up on the editing room floor! We all had a ton of fun, and it was a great experience.

Hi guys!! I love the little feet sticking out of the curtain. I can just imagine the giggles and you hunting him. Yes, I too am wondering about all of the extra footage for the show and can't wait to see it. Being there helps me realize all the stress and work involved in all "3" jobs. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Miss you all. Love, Mom
