Stray Boots is a interactive scavenger hunt/walking tour that lets you explore a city through clues that are sent to your phone. You have to answer specific questions and even capture different pictures. Once you have submitted your answer they send you some background information on what you just found. We decided to give it a try with a Georgetown tour, and we all had so much fun! We even learned a thing or two about this part of DC.
Our first clue was to find this mural on the side of a row house. The boys were in awe of such a huge painting that covered the entire wall.
Another clue led us to the "Poltergeist" stairs right outside of Georgetown University. (And please don't ask why Braden has on gloves in August - he found them in his stroller and insisted on wearing them.)
We even got to venture over to Georgetown Cupcake! However, by this time we had already stopped for frozen yogurt which was a good thing since the line was out the door and around the corner!
There are a couple of other tours in DC that we can't wait to try. There are also several NYC tours that look like fun. I guess we just need to plan a weekend and head up there!

That really sounds like such a fun idea and a way for the boys to learn with a hands on experience. How many miles did you all walk. Once again, "how do you find all of this stuff"? Maybe you could check out Jackson when you are here. HA! Much love, DeeDee
